Firstly, I like to apologise for my absence as I was writing blogs quite often but I've been so busy with my last assignment on the River and trying to promote the Big River Clean Up campaign that I haven't really had much time. However, the promoting did pay off in the end, after a week or so of posting the video on social media it was noticed by my local council who got in touch with me, this then lead me to a small group of volunteers called 'Ogmore Valley Pride' (Ogmore Vale is where I'm from, in South Wales). They then agreed to help clean the small River that features in the video. This just goes to show if you let your voice be heard, someone will be listening. If it's the same in your local area, waste no more time and get something sorted as this is not good for the surrounding wildlife, or for ourselves, because who wants to live alongside a river full of cans, crisp packets, traffic cones, tires, sofas and, even, used condoms? *eugh* So the only question is, 'Will you help me to clean the Rivers?'
I will keep you updated on further news of the river clean up, as I plan to make another short film on it sometime this month. I have also been to Skomer Island in my long absence with the University. We spend a couple of days on the island, it was just incredible to get so close to so many amazing animals. The real reason we were there though was to photograph the puffins and it was a real delight photographing them from morning till night. I highly recommend people visit Skomer at least once in their lives, it's just beautiful. For more information, please feel free to contact me via the contact page. New images have been uploaded to the wildlife and landscape section of the site, hope you enjoy!
