Skomer Island
At the beginning of June 2015, I was lucky enough to spend a few days on the very beautiful welsh island of Skomer. Throughout my stay on the island, I decided not to just take still images but also to record little segments of my surroundings. The Island is renowned for its close encounters with Wildlife, the main attraction being the Puffins. Other wonderful animals that inhabit the island are Razorbills, Guillemots, Manx Shearwaters, Grey Seals, Oystercatchers and even Rabbits. Currently I am experimenting with moving image, so I hope that I've managed to capture a real feel of what being on the island is like.
The Big River Clean Up!
The Big River Clean Up is a campaign I started back April 2015, the idea came to me after working on my last assignment. The assignment was all about studying the river from the River its self to it's surrounding wildlife and our connection to it. Now our connection to the River, both has its positive and negative effects. Its Positive because we do protect on conserve some Rivers if they are in a nature reserve or run by local anglers but the negative side is that we also heavily pollute our local Rivers. This is not good for the surrounding wildlife, or for ourselves, because who wants to live alongside a River full of cans, crisp packets, traffic cones, tires, sofas and, even, used condoms? *eugh* So lets do something about it! Will you help me clean the Rivers? #theBIGrivercleanup
